Avoid eating for a few hours lower the accumulation of radicals (oxidative) in our cell. So it prevents many damages that may occur for oxidative radicals. It prevents damage to cellular proteins and nucleic acids that associated with diseases like cancer.

When food is consumed after workout especially food that contains fructose, it binds to the same receptors as growth hormone and prevents uptake that growth hormone in your body has made.
